GBW NAMM 2025 Coverage Begins
From our unique, hybrid business perspective
I believe I attended my first NAMM Show in 1979 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. As a young guy in my twenties, it was thrilling. We were there as an exhibitor with our company at the time, Professional Music Products, Inc (PMP). If you remember this company, please reach out. It was long ago.
It’s possible I may have had my dates wrong, but I think this might have been the year that we exhibited in a lower level of the parking garage at the hotel, which had been converted into an exhibit hall, columns and all. Millions of them it seemed. If any of you remember this, please reach out.
So, 45 years later, I’m still doing it. Seems like a long time and a lot of shows in all different kinds of circumstances, all connected in one way or another by a long-lasting intense interest in the business of guitar. And, of course, that meant virtually anything related to guitar, which is a wide-open interest path for sure.

As it turns out, like it usually does, I’ll be there again in January 2025 and so will Guitar Business World. We’ll have a lot of coverage from the event, but in the meantime, we’ve opened up this new, dedicated category on GBW to offer a whole range of news, information and resources for those of you who are attending or just interested in what we have to say.
